| Founded in 2006 by the team that had previously started OSA Technologies, DeviceVM is headquartered in Silicon Valley with offices in Taiwan and China. |
| In August 2006, DeviceVM raised $10.5 million in Series A funding led by Storm Ventures, with DFJ Dragon Fund, Tim Draper, ASUS, iD Innovation (Acer), Harbinger Ventures (Mitac-Synnex), and strategic angel investors contributing. |
| In October 2007, DeviceVM raised additional $10 million in Series B funding, led by DFJ Dragon with participation from Sumitomo’s venture arm, Presidio, HTC Founders Cher Wang and Wen-Chi Chen, and WR Hambrecht Ventures. That round of funding was followed in January 2008 by an additional $1 million investment from Merus Capital, a venture capital firm founded by three senior executives from Google and Microsoft. |
| In August 2008, DeviceVM raised $15 million in Series C funding, led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Existing investors including Storm Ventures, DFJ Dragon, Tim Draper, and Larry Augustin also participated in this Series C investment. |
